Windows system information, known as MSInfo32, contain information that can help you identify what is causing issues with Epic products on your PC.
To launch MSInfo 32:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard and tap the R key.
This will open the Run Window. - In the Run Window type: msinfo32
- Press the Enter key.
This will open the System Information window.
There are a couple of important sections in MSInfo32 that can help:
System Summary
Relevant information
- OS Name: Shows the name of the operating system on your computer

- System Manufacturer and Model: Shows the manufacturer and model of the your computer
- Processor: Shows the make, model, and speed of the your processor
- Installed Physical Memory: The literal amount of memory installed on the computer
- Total Physical Memory: The total memory that can be used by the computer
- Available Physical Memory: The available memory remaining that the computer can use
You can use this information to:
- Verify that your computer meets the System requirements for the Epic Games Launcher to run Epic Games products:
- The processor is fast enough to run Epic Games products
- There is enough physical memory to run Epic Games products
- Verify that your operating system is updated to the latest version with this Microsoft web page: Windows Release Health
- Confirm that you system is setup properly as a desktop or laptop using the system manufacturer and model

- Display: Shows the graphics card and driver version and date the your computer is using.
- Storage > Drives: Shows all the hard drives on your computer, the size of each, and how much free space each drive has.
You can use this information to:
- Verify your computer meets the System requirements for the Epic Games Launcher to run Epic Games products.

- Verify your computer has enough hard drive space to install the game or product.

- Running Tasks: Shows all the applications that are running on your computer at the time the report is run
- Startup Programs: Shows a list of all programs that load after Windows starts
- Windows Error Reporting: Shows a list of errors that occur with programs and what modules are faulty.
You can use this information to:

- Windows Error Reporting will show you information that could identify a variety of things including but not limited to:
- What product is having an error and the cause of it:
- The type or severity of the problem such as a faulty module causing a product to crash.
- Files that help describe the problem.

Windows Error Reporting often reveals faulty modules or DLL files which could be caused by a variety of issues. If you see the Epic Games Launcher executable listed, try to reinstall the Epic Games Launcher to see if this resolves the problem.
