Xbox controller not working in Fortnite

If you are playing Fortnite on an Xbox and your controller is not responding to certain actions, such as using your D-Pad, opening the map, or changing your weapons, you may need to clear your Xbox cache.

To clear your Xbox cache follow these steps:

  2. Unplug all accessories connected to the console
  3. Leave the console unplugged for two minutes.
  4. Press and hold the power button while the console is unplugged.
  5. Reconnect the power cord.
  6. Turn on your Xbox One or Series S/X.
  7. Start Fortnite.
