How do I update graphics card drivers?

Outdated graphics drivers can be one of the main causes of crashes and performance issues. You should always make sure that your graphics drivers are updated to the latest version to ensure the best experience.

Use the links below to download the latest graphics driver from your manufacturer:

  • Nvidia
    • Note: If you use the Manual Search option, we recommend selecting "Game Ready Driver" from the Download Type drop-down menu
  • AMD
  • Intel

If you are unsure what graphics card manufacturer you are using, you can find out by running a DirectX Diagnostic:

  1. Click the Windows key (Start) button, type Run, and press Enter.
  2. In the pop-up window, enter dxdiag and press Enter.
  3. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will load. If there is a pop-up window asking about digital driver signing; click the answer for your machine.
  4. Click Save all information, then Save as.
  5. Click on Save (the file should be saved to your desktop as dxdiag.txt).
  6. Exit the DirectX Diagnostic tool and locate the file.

If you are using a Mac, you can use this Apple support document to access a file that is roughly equivalent to a DirectX diagnostic.
