After you download some files, the Epic Games Launcher can stop downloading depending on your disk speed because it is installing the downloaded files to the disk.
If it reaches 0, you can check if the disk is busy by looking at the read/write portions of the download graph. This means it is currently installing files to the disk and the Launcher will stop downloading since the disk is currently busy. Your download will continue normally once it is done writing.
