Epic Games Launcher Icon appears blank (plain white icon)

Sometimes, due to OS or Epic Games launcher updates, the Epic Games Launcher icon may appear blank (a plain white icon) or be missing altogether.

To resolve the issue, try the following steps:

1. Refresh Desktop:
   1. Right click on Desktop
   2. Select Refresh
2. Restart the PC
3. Check for any available updates for your PC.
4. If the only issue is with the Epic Games Launcher app's icon - update Epic Games Launcher
5. Hide desktop icons and then unhide them.
   • To hide them:
     1. Right-click on the desktop
     2. Navigate to the View menu
     3. Click on Show desktop icons so that the option is unchecked
   • If you want to reveal them again, follow the same steps and click the Show desktop icons option so that the option is checked again.
6. Restart File Explorer:
   1. Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
   2. Navigate to the Processes tab and locate Windows Explorer (File Explorer is often referred to as Windows Explorer in a few systems).
   3. Tap Restart on the right-bottom side of the Task Manager window
7. Disable Tablet Mode:
   1. Go to Windows Settings.
   2. Go to System.
   3. Navigate to Tablet settings on the left sidebar.
   4. Click on Change additional tablet settings.
   5. Turn off the Tablet mode toggle by turning it to the left if it was already on
